Conference Timeline
We are now accepting applications and recordings for performing groups at the 2024 IMEA All-State Inservice Conference. Selected groups will perform at numerous concert hours during the conference. We would like to see a balanced representation from all levels of Music Education in our State: Small, Medium and Large sized High School, Middle School, Elementary School, and University level performing ensembles. There is also an option to be considered for playing background music during lunch or at other times in the foyer or exhibits area.
The deadline for the Performing Groups Application is {{dates.data.groupsDue[0].deadline}}. All materials should be submitted through the online application.
The recording should be from the Fall of 2023 but recordings made in the Spring of 2023 may be submitted if the personnel of the group has not changed critically.
The following guidelines for Performing Groups at the conference were approved following the June 13, 2023, Board meeting:

Proposals received by the due date will be referred to a specific conference planning committee at the IMEA Fall Board Meeting. Sessions will be selected based on the following criteria: quality of presentation (objectives and organization), innovativeness, importance and timeliness of the topic to the field, practical applicability, and program balance. Notice of acceptance or non-acceptance will be sent to the primary clinician in October, prior to the conference.

PARKING – On the map, parking lot G03 is one block west of the Fine Arts building (essentially behind Pizza Hut) between 3rd and 4th street. Nobody parks there, and so I’ve reserved it for us for Thursday and Friday. Send all waiting busses to the Holt Arena parking lot. The Stephens Performing Arts Center is also free to park You may also park next to the FA building (G01) but so will all the ISU students.
The following hotels have blocks of room held for All-State. When reserving rooms, please tell them you are with IMEA All State. The rates are what Wayne Millett, IMEA Executive Director, was quoted and should be honored. Clarify if you need two beds in each room unless otherwise listed. Rooms do not include sales tax, which will be included unless your school arranges otherwise. These rooms are only held until the date indicated so make your reservation ASAP.

Q: Can I register for the In-Service Conference online?
A: Yes! Online Pre-Registration is done through the OpusEvents. Go to OpusEvents to register.
Q: Can I pay my registration fee with a credit card?
A: Credit cards will be accepted. (You may also send a school or personal check. Purchase orders will NOT be accepted!)
Q: I don't teach high school and I don't have students in All-State. Can I come at a reduced fee?
A: IMEA/NAfME represents all levels and all areas of music education; consequently, the full fee is expected of all active music educators, regardless of their area or

every
teaching level and area.
Q: How do I join IMEA/NAfME?
A: You can join NAfME/IMEA by accessing the national web site at: www.nafme.org. (High school instructors need to remember to keep their
membership current in order for their students to be eligible for All-State and the State Solo Contest.)

A: All registrations (with the exception of the FREE retired category) include 1 banquet ticket and entrance to all clinics, concert hours, exhibits and both GALA Concerts.
Extra
